The Split Orders extension gives you the power to process and ship part of a customer’s order separately. You can choose the quantity of each item to be split to a new order, assigned to the same customer, with matching shipping and billing details.
Use cases
With split orders you can respond flexibly to different situations with orders, including
When you have an order which is only partially ready to be shipped, or contains products on backorder. With the Split Orders plugin you don’t have to keep the customer waiting — split the delayed items to a new order so that you can ship the products you have available.
When you use different couriers for different parts of an order and want to attach tracking information for each shipment. Split the order to match shipments and attach tracking information to each order using Shipment tracking .
When the customer asks you to ship part of an order to a different address. Split those items to a new order, update the shipping address, and process each order separately.
All it takes is a click of the Split order action button to start a split.
Having the power to split orders will help you keep on top of order management and shipments. Customers will appreciate receiving prompt delivery for the part of an order that’s ready to ship, or for being able to flexibly accommodate their shipping requirements.

I've tried numerous free and paid plugins for splitting orders, and this is the only one that actually works exactly as it is supposed to! The UI is user friendly, the stock is updated correctly, there is even a customizeable email template. From the order overview table and in the order detail page you can clearly see where the order is split from. The data about local pickup is also copied to the split order, which is good.
The only thing I would like to see added is Dutch translations of the UI buttons, but this is a minor thing. I'm glad to have finally found an order split plugin that does not contain any bugs!

I love the plug-in. It's simple and does what its promise. :)
I really would love to see an overview of the splitted orders. And also the possibility to change something with the splitting would be great. Specially in the beginning i happend that the wrong quantity was split out. Then we had to split again, and then we have 3 instead of 2 orders.

This is the first plugin that I bought, installed and just used with no issues. It is the perfect implementation of splitting orders and is exactly what you're looking for if you have some Amazon MCF items on an order with others that are fulfilled locally. The only weird thing is when it syncs the orders with QBO, there is some funkiness there. Might be related to setting on my WooCommerce sync.

The plugin works well and the support is very helpful and fast.
The only thing I miss is integration with payment gateways like Klarna and Vipps.

This plugin does EXACTLY what I need it to do - I can select which products to split into a separate order and ba-da-bing it is done!
They also provide above and beyond support. The plugin stopped worked for me, and after reaching out to them, they discovered it was in fact another plugin I am using that is causing the problem. Not only did they send me a code snippet that works around the issue, they reached out to the author of the offending plugin notifying them of the issue and provided code to fix it.
From start to finish they NEVER once dropped the issue, even though they rightly COULD do so - as the problem really was not in their code. I am forever grateful that they helped me sort this out.
I HIGHLY recommend this plugin for anyone who needs to split orders - and the price is WELL WORTH IT!
