Elementor Free or Pro: how to choose for your website

Compare Elementor Free and Pro by your site needs: page editing, Theme Builder, forms and dependencies to check before installing.

Demos and templates

Start with what your site is missing. For a business page with text, images and buttons, try the free editor first. For a project that needs custom site templates or forms integrated into the layout, examine the required Pro features before buying or installing.

When to start with Elementor Free

Free Elementor provides visual page editing. Build a page that represents your project and test mobile navigation. If your theme already handles the header, footer and blog well, you may not need the builder to control those areas. A long widget list cannot replace this test.

When to consider Elementor Pro

Pro adds features such as Theme Builder and forms, depending on the developer’s version and plan. List what you will actually use: a post template, a form with specific fields or a product layout. Read Elementor’s official comparison and check the available version on the Elementor Pro item page.

Themes, plugins and Template Kits serve different roles

The theme provides the visual foundation, Elementor is the builder, and a kit contains templates to import. A kit may require Pro and other add-ons. Check each kit’s requirements in Elementor Template Kits; an attractive layout does not guarantee that all dependencies are included in the download.

Plugin files and developer services

Ultrapack provides the catalog file through a subscription or single-item purchase. This does not equal purchasing services directly from Elementor. Before relying on a remote library, support or cloud service, check the required access. The article on Elementor Pro licensing explains this distinction.

Run a test that represents your project

  • Check requirements and keep free Elementor installed when using Pro.
  • Test a page, menu and form on a copy of your site.
  • Check form submission and receipt as well as appearance.
  • Check conflicts with your theme and existing add-ons.

Use the testing environment guide before changing your site structure. To compare other solutions, see the plugin selection guide.
