Description
The Allowed Products add-on restricts AffiliateWP commission calculations to a specific list of products, reversing the default logic: when the extension is enabled, no item generates commission until its ID is manually added to the whitelist in the dashboard. It’s the practical alternative for stores with hundreds of items in the integrations supported by AffiliateWP, where disabling product commission item by item becomes impractical.
Main Features
- Product ID whitelist: a dashboard field to enter the IDs that should pay affiliates, leaving everything else out of the program.
- Total block by default: when the extension is activated, commission calculation is turned off across the entire catalog until the first explicit release.
- Centralized setup: control from a single admin screen, with no need to edit products one by one.
- Integration with Easy Digital Downloads: works with EDD, a platform supported natively by AffiliateWP.
- Reuses the native engine: uses the same commission calculation flow as the base plugin, without duplicating rules or creating parallel reports.
Benefits of Allowed Products
- Less setup time: avoids the repetitive work of disabling commission for each item in large catalogs.
- Financial control: prevents paying commission on products that aren’t part of the affiliate program.
- Selective campaigns: lets you release only specific items for one-off actions like launches, bundles, or offers.
- Simplified auditing: the single list of released IDs serves as a clear record of which products generate commission.
Who Is It For?
- Stores with a large catalog that want to run an affiliate program on only part of the products.
- Marketing managers who need to isolate affiliate campaigns to specific SKUs.
- Sites with Easy Digital Downloads that require granular control over which downloads pay partners.
Ideal for affiliate program operators who need to precisely select which products pay partners, without editing individual settings in large catalogs.
