Easy Digital Downloads RCP Member Discounts

Description

The RCP Member Discounts add-on connects Restrict Content Pro subscription levels to the Easy Digital Downloads catalog, applying automatic checkout discounts for active members according to the configured membership tier. Store owners define percentages or fixed amounts for each membership level, and the discount is calculated in real time in the cart, eliminating the need to manually generate individual coupons and turning the members area into a native loyalty program within the digital store.

Key Features

• Subscription-level discounts
Links each Restrict Content Pro tier to a specific discount amount in EDD.
• Percentage or fixed amount
Lets you choose between a percentage discount on the total or an absolute amount deducted from the order.
• Automatic checkout application
Identifies the logged-in member and applies the corresponding discount without requiring a coupon code.
• Subscription status control
Grants the discount only when the RCP subscription is active, suspending the benefit in the event of nonpayment.
• Native EDD integration
Works alongside the Easy Digital Downloads discount system without conflicting with existing promotional coupons.

Benefits of RCP Member Discounts

• Ready-to-use loyalty program
Rewards recurring subscribers with special pricing, increasing the perceived value of membership.
• Less coupon management
Eliminates the manual creation of individual codes for each member, reducing administrative workload.
• Greater subscriber retention
The ongoing discount on digital products reinforces the reason to keep the subscription active.
• Cross-monetization
Connects recurring membership revenue with individual download sales, increasing the average value per user.

Who Is It For?

• Digital product stores that already use Easy Digital Downloads and Restrict Content Pro side by side.
• Content creators who offer a members club with access to premium downloads at reduced prices.
• Businesses selling courses, ebooks, plugins, or digital assets that want to reward recurring subscribers without distributing individual coupons.

For those who combine Restrict Content Pro with Easy Digital Downloads, this add-on solves a recurring issue: applying special pricing to members without relying on manual coupons. The discount logic is tied to the subscription status itself, ensuring that only current memberships receive the benefit and simplifying the auditing of granted discounts in the store’s order history.
