Description

The Blocks addon enables the FacetWP filter in native Gutenberg Query Loop blocks, covering Query Loop and Posts List of WordPress, Product Collection of WooCommerce and the query blocks of GenerateBlocks, Kadence, Stackable, Spectra and Otter. The extension also adds two own blocks (Facet and Listing) that render facets and templates of the Listing Builder inside the block editor, without relying on shortcodes or manual markup.

Key Features

  • Support for Query Loop and Product Collection
Activates the “Enable FacetWP” toggle in WordPress and WooCommerce query blocks.
  • Native Facet Block
Displays existing facets in the editor with an optional header and the “Hide when empty” option.
  • Native Listing Block
Renders templates of the Listing Builder in Gutenberg, with an optional “Static” mode.
  • Compatibility with block libraries
Works with GenerateBlocks, Kadence Blocks, Stackable, Spectra and Otter Blocks.
  • Support for Sort, Pager and Load More
Recognizes faceted sorting, pagination and Load More facets, plus a custom block for “No Results”.

Benefits of Blocks

  • Filters directly within the block editor
Eliminates shortcodes and template editing when building search interfaces.
  • Integration with WooCommerce catalogs
Allows filtering of product listings built with the Product Collection block.
  • Reuse of Listing Builder
Templates used on other pages can be inserted as a block in Gutenberg.
  • Less code dependency
Editors and content managers set up filtered listings without developer assistance.

Who Is This For?

  • WordPress sites that have adopted Gutenberg as the main builder.
  • WooCommerce shops that organize catalogs via the Product Collection block.
  • Teams already using GenerateBlocks, Kadence, Stackable, Spectra or Otter who want to add faceted filters to their listings.

For those who migrated from the classic editor or visual builders to Gutenberg, the Blocks addon incorporates the FacetWP filter system into the native editor, aligning with the Query Loop structure and WordPress post templates. The integration fits especially well with WooCommerce catalogs, blogs filtered by category and directories built on query blocks, respecting the restriction of one filtered block per page.
