Description

The User Registration addon creates user accounts on WordPress directly from any Formidable Forms form, mapping form fields to name, email, password, and profile metadata. The extension adds role control, email confirmation activation, and front-end profile editing, eliminating the default wp-admin screen for registration and data updates for site visitors.

Main Features

  • Registration via form
Converts any Formidable form into a WordPress user registration form.
  • Profile field mapping
Links form fields to native WP data and custom metadata.
  • Role assignment
Automatically sets the new user’s role based on configurable rules.
  • Email activation
Sends a confirmation link to validate the address before granting account access.
  • Front-end profile editing
Allows logged-in users to update their own data without entering the admin dashboard.

Benefits of User Registration

  • Custom registration flow
Replaces the default WordPress screen with a form that matches the site’s visual identity.
  • Less signup friction
Collects only the fields relevant to your business, reducing registration abandonment.
  • Organized user base
Consistent data between form and WP profile makes segmentation and base management easier.
  • Visitor autonomy
Profile updates without manual support free up time for the administrative team.

Who Is It For?

  • Websites with restricted areas, communities, or member portals that need their own registration.
  • Course platforms, directories, and marketplaces that collect detailed profiles at signup.
  • Agencies and developers who already use Formidable Forms and want to unify forms and user management.

For those who use Formidable Forms as the site’s form foundation, this addon eliminates dependence on the default WordPress registration screen and centralizes onboarding in a single controlled flow. The result is a registration aligned with the page design, with custom fields and role governance, ideal for member areas, educational portals, and communities.
