Description
The Expirations add-on adds an expiration date to points, achievements, and ranks generated by GamiPress, allowing you to set a duration in days, weeks, months, or years directly in the form of each item. When the period expires, the component automatically removes the balance or revokes the user’s achievement, keeping the gamification system aligned with seasonal campaigns, loyalty programs with periodic renewal, and challenges with a limited validity window.
Key Features
- Points Expiration
Sets an expiration period for any type of point registered in GamiPress. - Achievement and Rank Expiration
Applies a cutoff date to achievements and patents, revoking the item at the end of the period. - Time Unit-Based Configuration
Lets you choose days, weeks, months, or years as the basis for calculating expiration. - Automatic Balance Removal
Subtracts expired points from the user’s wallet without any manual intervention from the administrator. - Compatibility with the GamiPress ecosystem
Integrates with other add-ons in the family, respecting triggers, rules, and already configured scoring types.
Expirations Benefits
- Recurring engagement
Encourages the user to come back and spend points before the scheduled expiration. - Points liability control
Prevents indefinite balance buildup in the base, reducing loyalty program obligations. - Simplified seasonal campaigns
Enables running promotions with extra points that expire at the end of the action period. - Automated management
Eliminates manual routines for zeroing balances or revoking old achievements in bulk.
Who Is It For?
- Sites that run a loyalty program with GamiPress and need points with validity.
- Communities and member platforms that apply temporary or renewable ranks.
- Gamified WooCommerce stores that offer promotional points with a set timeframe.
- Administrators looking to reduce accumulated unused points liability.
Recommended for loyalty program managers, online communities, and gamified stores that need a reliable validity mechanism for points, achievements, and ranks. By automating revocations and expirations within GamiPress itself, the add-on keeps the rewards system healthy and creates healthy urgency in user behavior, aligning gamification with real business cycles.
