Description
The Frontend Awards addon enables manual awarding of points, achievements, and ranks directly from the site frontend, eliminating the need to access the WordPress admin panel to reward members. The addon extends GamiPress by adding public awarding forms that can be displayed via shortcode on any page, allowing authorized users to quickly recognize other community participants.
Main Features
- Awarding from the frontend
Awards points, achievements, and ranks without entering the site’s wp-admin. - Configurable public form
Renders awarding form via shortcode on any page or post. - Granular permission control
Defines which user roles can grant each type of award. - Recipient selection
Allows choosing the user to be awarded by search or list in the form. - Full compatibility with GamiPress
Works with points, achievements, and ranks already set up in the base plugin.
Benefits of Frontend Awards
- Decentralization of gamification
Distributes awarding power among moderators, mentors, and community leaders. - Real-time recognition
Enables reacting to positive contributions as they happen. - Member engagement
Encourages peer-to-peer recognition, strengthening the sense of community on the site. - Less administrative overload
Reduces dependence on a single administrator to manage daily awards.
Who Is It For?
- Online communities with moderators who need to recognize member contributions.
- Course and e-learning platforms where instructors award students for performance.
- Corporate sites and intranets that use gamification to recognize employees.
- Forums and social networks based on GamiPress with active reputation programs.
The addon is especially useful in collaborative environments where manual awarding needs to be fast and decentralized, such as communities of practice, mentoring programs, and educational platforms. By moving the awarding process to the frontend, it frees administrators from repetitive tasks and gives autonomy to moderators and instructors to keep gamification active and responsive.
