Description
The GeoDirectory Events Tickets Marketplace addon turns the GeoDirectory directory into an online ticket sales marketplace, allowing multiple organizers to publish events and charge for entries with a configurable commission system for each transaction. Each sold ticket generates a QR code for validation at the entrance, and the dashboard brings together revenue reports for directory administrators and organizers of their own events, in a flow comparable to Eventbrite or Ticketmaster directly in WordPress.
Key Features
- Multi-vendor marketplace
Allows multiple organizers to register their own events and manage ticketing independently. - Configurable commission system
The administrator sets the percentage charged on each ticket sold by the organizers. - QR code tickets
Each purchase generates a printed ticket with a unique code for identifying the ticket holder. - Ticket validation at the entrance
The system checks and updates the QR code status, preventing re-entry or duplication. - Sales reports and analytics
Separate dashboards for organizers and administrators to track sold tickets and generated revenue.
Benefits of the Events Tickets Marketplace
- Monetize the directory
Generates recurring revenue on each ticket sold by the registered organizers. - Native ticketing platform
Reduces reliance on external services like Eventbrite or Sympla to sell tickets. - Access control at the entrance
QR code scanning speeds up check-in and prevents misuse of the same ticket. - Decentralized operation
Each organizer tracks their own sales without needing administrative access to the site.
Who Is It For?
- Operators of local event and entertainment directories who want to add their own ticketing.
- Entrepreneurs who want to set up a ticket marketplace in the style of Eventbrite or Ticketmaster.
- Communities, associations, and cultural producers that sell tickets for multiple events on the same portal.
This add-on converts a listings directory into a complete transactional platform, covering event registration, ticket charging, QR generation, and validation at the entrance. It is designed for operators who want to charge a commission on each ticket sold and offer organizers a single channel to publish, promote, and track ticketing for their own events within GeoDirectory.
