GiveWP Sofort Gateway

Description

The Sofort add-on processes donations via direct bank debit through the Sofort service (SOFORT Banking/Klarna), adding this payment method to GiveWP donation forms. The integration connects checkout to online bank transfers used in European countries such as Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy, allowing donors to confirm contributions directly via their bank account without a credit card.

Who Is It For?

• NGOs, foundations, and social projects that raise donations in Central Europe.
• Religious organizations and communities that collect funds from German, Austrian, and Dutch donors.
• Universities, schools, and European cultural institutions with recurring fundraising campaigns.
• International causes that need to expand payment methods beyond card and PayPal.

Targeted at organizations that rely on the European market to sustain their campaigns, this add-on brings GiveWP closer to local habits of authenticated bank transfer payment. By adding Sofort to the available gateway list, the fundraising gains a reliable regional channel, with confirmation flow within the donor’s bank, increasing conversion rates among audiences that avoid online card use.
