Description
The Speed Up add-on speeds up Modula galleries by adding configurable image compression options, with lossless, lossy, and glossy modes in Modula > Settings > Optimization > Performance. The extension also lets you override the global setting per gallery in the Speed Up tab, helping photographers, visual creators, and websites with many images balance file weight, visual quality, and loading time.
Key Features
- Lossless compression
Reduces file size without perceptible loss in quality. - Lossy compression
Produces images with controlled reduction to prioritize faster loading. - Glossy mode

Speed Up Benefits
- Lighter pages
Compressed images reduce the total weight of published galleries. - More visual control
Each gallery can use compression based on its aesthetic importance. - Simpler workflow
Options are available within the screens already used in Modula. - Better navigation
Visitors load galleries with less waiting on visual pages.
Who Is It For?
- Photographers who publish portfolios with many images in Modula.
- Agencies and studios that manage visual galleries on WordPress websites.
- Shops, blogs, and institutional sites that frequently use heavy galleries.
Speed Up acts as an additional module focused on the most sensitive part of galleries: the weight of images loaded on the front end. By centralizing global compression and individual per-gallery adjustments, the component helps keep the editorial workflow within Modula, without relying on external processes for each set of images published.
