Description
Pending Points is an addon that adds a pending points flow to myCred, recording credits on hold before they are added to the user’s final balance. This control helps communities, reward programs, and membership areas validate sensitive actions, review entries, and release points only when the defined event or condition makes sense for the operation.
Main Features
- Pending points
Records credits as pending before applying them to the myCred balance. - Approval flow
Allows reviewing points before releasing credit to the user. - Balance control
Prevents conditional points from being used before validation. - Organized history
Keeps pending transactions separate from the already confirmed balance. - myCred integration
Works as an additional module within the existing points logic.
Pending Points Benefits
- More governance
Reduces improper releases in campaigns with conditional rules. - Clearer validation
Makes it easier to check points before final confirmation. - More reliable balance
Separates approved credits from points still under review. - More controlled operation
Helps teams manage rewards without altering the main logic.
Who Is It For?
- Sites that use myCred for points and reward programs.
- Communities, clubs, and membership areas with participation validation.
- Administrators who need to review points before release.
The Pending Points extension is useful when not all points should immediately enter the user’s balance. Instead of relying solely on automatic crediting, the site starts working with an intermediate layer of review, suitable for campaigns, moderated actions, conditional rewards, and flows where validation prevents manual adjustments afterward.
