Description
Built on myCred, the Submission add-on adds request forms for badges and ranks, with an explanation field, shortcode, Gutenberg block, sidebar widget and admin screen to approve or reject requests. In gamified communities, courses, clubs and member areas, the extension lets users request specific achievements while managers evaluate each submission before the reward is released within the myCred flow.
Key Features
- Badge Request
Creates forms for users to request badges configured by the administrator. - Rank Request
Allows rank requests to be sent when manual mode is active. - Explanation Field
Collects user justifications along with each submitted request. - Administrative Review
Lists requests on a dedicated screen for manual approval or rejection. - Flexible Display
Inserts forms via shortcode, Gutenberg block or sidebar widget.
Benefits of Submission
- Greater editorial control
Rewards are reviewed before reaching the user’s profile. - Participatory gamification
Users can request achievements tied to their own activity on the site. - More organized flow
Requests are centralized, with clear status for internal management. - Use across multiple areas
Forms can appear on pages, posts, or sidebars.
Who is it recommended for?
- Administrators who use myCred to manage badges, ranks, and points.
- Communities, clubs, and member areas with manual achievement rules.
- Educational or gamified sites that need to review user requests.
Submission functions as a review component within the myCred ecosystem, separating the user request from the final award granting. This approach helps maintain internal criteria, record justifications, and prevent automatic releases when badges or ranks depend on human validation, proven participation, or manager assessment.
