Description
When a membership needs to sell seats linked to a primary account, the Sponsored Members addon adds linked seat discount codes to Paid Memberships Pro, recording the parent-child relationship in the pmpro_discount_codes_uses table and allowing sponsored accounts to be created at checkout. The extension supports projects with family plans, teams, classes, or groups that rely on the native Paid Memberships Pro checkout and accept configuration by code.

How to Download Sponsored Members
Sponsored Members is available for download here at Ultrapack. After downloading the .zip file, install it at Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, select the package, and activate it in WordPress. Then configure the addon according to the membership levels used in Paid Memberships Pro.
Sponsored Members is a legacy component of the Paid Memberships Pro ecosystem, aimed at membership models where a primary account distributes access to other accounts. Since the page itself states that the addon does not receive new features and will be replaced by Group Accounts, it makes more sense in installations still relying on this old flow and needing to maintain operational compatibility.

How to install
Automatic updates: this item is updated by the Ultrapack Auto Updater. With it installed, the new version shows up in your dashboard like any other WordPress update (how to set it up).
This item is an add-on for the Paid Memberships Pro plugin. Installed on its own it throws no error, but it does not work either.
- Install and activate the Paid Memberships Pro plugin before this one.
- Download the file
pmpro-sponsored-members.zip. - In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Select the file
pmpro-sponsored-members.zip, click Install Now and then Activate.
- Both stay active at the same time. Deactivating the Paid Memberships Pro plugin turns this add-on off with it.
- An add-on settings usually show up inside the main plugin screens, not in a menu of their own. If you find nothing new in the dashboard after activating, look there before opening a ticket.
