What changed in this version
Version 2.14.0
- New: An About Us page under the Reviews Feed menu with plugin information and helpful links.
- Fix: Saving settings without making any changes no longer shows an error message.
- Fix: In-plugin notifications now appear as expected, and a dismissed notification stays dismissed.
Version 2.13.1
- Fix: The All Feeds page opens again on sites with a lot of content. Working out where each feed was used meant searching every post on the site, twice per feed, so on large sites the page could sit loading for around ten minutes. It now does that work once and remembers it.
- Fix: Feeds added with the Reviews block, the older feed block, a synced pattern, a template part or the Elementor widget are now counted under "Instances". Before this, only feeds added with a shortcode were, so a feed that was live on your site could be listed as used in 0 places right next to the delete button.
- Fix: Instance counts are accurate where feed IDs share the first digits. Feed 12 was also counting pages that used feed 127. Some counts will go down after updating, and the lower number is the right one.
- Fix: Adding or removing a feed from a page shows up straight away instead of waiting for a cached result to expire.
- Fix: When we cannot finish checking where a feed is used, the Instances column now says so instead of showing zero, and the delete confirmation no longer claims the feed is unused.
- Fix: The Trust Badges page opens again on sites with a lot of content. Counting where each badge was used meant searching every post on the site, once per badge. It now does that once and remembers it. A badge used on a page whose title starts late in the alphabet is also counted properly now, where before it could show as used in 0 places.
- Fix: When we cannot finish checking where a trust badge is used, the Instances column now says so instead of showing zero, and the delete confirmation tells you we could not check rather than implying the badge is unused.
- Fix: Pasting a TripAdvisor tour or experience link now tells you straight away that TripAdvisor does not share reviews for those, and suggests using a hotel, restaurant or attraction link instead. Before, the box simply sat there with no answer.
- Fix: Double-clicking the Finish button when adding a source no longer saves it more than once.
- Fix: The onboarding tooltip that points at the block inserter works again on WordPress 6.9 and 7.0, where the editor moved into a frame and the tooltip lost track of the button.
- Fix: Review dates read "1 year ago" instead of "1 years ago".
- Fix: The Collections page lists all of your collections and gives you page controls to move through them. Before, it showed only some of them — however many happened to come first — with no next page and no way to reach the rest.
- Fix: The Collections, About us and Support pages line up with the plugin's other pages again instead of sitting slightly to the right.
Version 2.13.0
- New: Reviews Feed now shares your overall rating, your connected review sources, each feed's stats and your latest reviews with the Feed Analytics dashboard, so its Reviews report is fully populated instead of asking you to update this plugin. Nothing is shared unless Feed Analytics asks for it.
- Improvement: Translations refreshed. The translation template had not been rebuilt in several releases, so hundreds of newer strings, including the whole Trust Badges screen, could not be translated. They can now, and translations that already existed for them are back in use.
- Improvement: The PRO and PRO+ labels in the admin menu can now be translated.
- Fix: WordPress.org reviews show the WordPress.org logo again. The feed was asking for an icon file under a name that never existed, so the mark came up blank and every WordPress.org review quietly loaded a full 404 page behind the scenes.
- Fix: Review dates no longer show as a large negative number of "seconds ago" when a source stores the review time as text.
- Fix: Typos and grammar corrected in a number of settings and help strings.
Version 2.12.0
- Fix: Plugin security hardening.
- New: Trust Badges. Build a badge once — pick the platforms it speaks for, the shape, the colours, what it shows — then place it wherever you want it. There are four ways to place one: a shortcode, a block, a widget in any sidebar, and an image you can paste into an email signature. Change the badge later and every copy of it changes with it.
- New: A badge can report several platforms at once. Pick three sources and it gives you one rating across all of them, weighted by how many reviews each platform actually has, so a shop with four thousand reviews does not count the same as one with twenty.
- New: Booking.com badges keep the nought-to-ten score the platform actually uses, without stars, instead of being squeezed into five.
- Improvement: A badge with nothing to report now shows nothing at all, rather than a box with a dash in it. While you are building one, the editor draws a placeholder so you can see the shape and lay it out; that placeholder never reaches your site.
- Improvement: Badge styles now reach the Elementor editor preview, so a badge looks the same while you are building the page as it does once the page is published.
- Fix: Creating or previewing a feed no longer breaks the page. If a single cached review had been saved in a damaged form, the whole feed stopped loading — on some sites as a critical error screen. That one review is now skipped and the rest of the feed shows as usual.
- Fix: Duplicating or importing a review collection no longer fails for the same reason. One damaged review used to stop the entire copy; it is now skipped and every other review comes across. And a file that is not a collection export now tells you so instead of failing quietly.
- Fix: On the free plugin, the feed editor no longer shows "Average Review Rating" as switched on. The free header has never drawn a rating, so the setting looked active and did nothing. Existing feeds look exactly as they did.
- Fix: On the free plugin, the search-engine markup no longer reports an overall rating. The free feed header does not show one, and markup has to match what a visitor can actually see. Individual reviews and their star ratings are untouched, so feeds still qualify for review snippets on every plan.
Version 2.11.0
- New: TripAdvisor is retiring the API that older keys belong to on August 31, 2026. If you added your own TripAdvisor key, the plugin now tells you before that date and gives you two ways out: remove the key and let the connection built into the plugin take over, or replace it with a key from TripAdvisor's new Terra platform. Sites that never added a key need to do nothing.
- New: Usage tracking now covers your feed settings, session activity and plugin events, so we can spot conflicts and see which features actually get used. The toggle under Settings → Advanced controls it and has always shown it on for Pro. Switching it off stops the weekly report and deletes what was collected on your site. It never sends access tokens, email addresses or anything about your users.
- Improvement: Tested and supported on WordPress 7.1.
- Fix: TripAdvisor feeds no longer stop refreshing while we look up your reviews. The plugin was giving up after 5 seconds, which was not always long enough.
- Fix: Review Alert popups can now be closed on a phone. The close button only appeared when a mouse hovered over the popup, so visitors on a touch screen had no way to dismiss it. It is now visible on touch, and tapping it closes the popup instead of opening the review.
- Fix: Adding a source now tells you what is wrong instead of doing nothing. Clicking Finish with the box empty looked like a dead button, and some providers gave no message at all when what you typed was not accepted. Trustpilot in particular needs the address of the review page, not just the company domain, and the dialog now says so and shows an example.
- Fix: Duplicating a feed keeps its styling instead of rendering with none.
