Restrict Content Pro EDD Member Downloads

Description

The EDD Member Downloads addon connects the Easy Digital Downloads catalog to the subscription management of Restrict Content Pro, linking digital products to membership levels and automatically unlocking downloads for users with an active subscription. Designed for those who sell ebooks, PDF courses, plugins, presets, or audio and want to offer subscription-based access instead of one-time sales, it turns the EDD checkout into a membership area.

Key Features of the EDD Member Downloads

• Linking products to levels
Associates each EDD download with one or more Restrict Content Pro membership levels.
• Automatic release by membership
Releases the file when the associated membership level is active, without a one-off charge.
• Restricted download storefront
Hides or blocks EDD products for visitors without an active subscription.
• Category-level control
Allows restricting entire groups of EDD downloads using the plugin’s own categories.
• Replacing one-time sales
Swaps the single-purchase model with recurring access managed inside Restrict Content Pro.

Benefits of the EDD Member Downloads

• Recurring revenue on the catalog
Turns sporadic sales into monthly subscriptions, stabilizing the cash flow of your digital business.
• Less friction for loyal customers
Subscribers access new files without repeating checkout for each added item.
• Plan-based curation
Organize the collection into subscription tiers and differentiate basic and premium offers.
• Native integration between tools
Centralizes members, payments, and deliveries in a single stack (RCP + EDD), without glue code.

Who Should Consider the EDD Member Downloads?

• Those who sell PDF courses, ebooks, or study guides and want to move from one-time sales to subscription access.
• Creators of digital libraries (templates, presets, fonts, audio, stock) who charge for subscription plans.
• You already using Easy Digital Downloads and Restrict Content Pro and need to link products to membership levels without coding.

How to Download the EDD Member Downloads

The EDD Member Downloads is available for download here on Ultrapack. After downloading the .zip file, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, select the file, install and activate. Keep Restrict Content Pro and Easy Digital Downloads active so the integration recognizes products and membership levels.

In rapidly growing digital catalogs, selling items one by one discourages loyal customers and breaks the recurring revenue stream. The bridge between EDD and Restrict Content Pro repositions the shop as a subscription club: the customer pays the monthly fee and gains access to the collection, while you begin measuring retention and LTV instead of isolated orders.
