Description

The Friends addon adds a friendship system to Ultimate Member, including a request button on member directory cards and on each profile, Friends and Requests tabs, as well as profile restriction to only confirmed friends. Built for community sites powered by Ultimate Member, it connects members and provides conditional access to private messages, a filtered social feed, and protected profiles, with email alerts for every new request or acceptance.

How to Download Friends

The Friends is available for download here in Ultrapack. After downloading the .zip file, install it in Plugins > Add New > Upload plugin, select the file, and activate the extension. With Ultimate Member already installed, the new friendship tabs and buttons automatically appear on members’ profiles.

Recommended for communities that already run Ultimate Member as the signup and profile backbone, the added component brings the relational layer that’s missing for a members-only site to become a real network. With visibility controlled by the user and friendship filters applied to messages, feed, and notifications, the result is a more cohesive and private space—without relying on external platforms to build connections between participants.
