Description
The User Photos add-on adds multiple image upload fields to Ultimate Member in the member profile, allowing each user to display a personal gallery alongside the default profile cover photo. Aimed at those who maintain communities with a rich visual identity (photographer networks, portfolio websites, dating platforms, and interest clubs), the add-on extends Ultimate Member’s registration with additional media without relying on an external gallery plugin.
Key Features of User Photos
- Personal gallery in the profile
Enables uploading multiple images linked to each registered account. - Configurable image limit
Sets in the dashboard how many photos each member can publish. - Display on the profile page
Renders thumbnails and enlarged view within the Ultimate Member template. - Field in the form builder
Fits the uploader into the registration and editing forms of the base plugin. - Control of accepted formats
Restricts extensions and dimensions to standardize the quality of uploaded images.
Benefits of User Photos
- Visually richer profiles
Each member shows more of themselves through their own images, in addition to the avatar. - More community engagement
Personal galleries encourage visits and interaction among registered users. - No extra gallery plugin
Eliminates the need to install a separate image manager just for the member area. - Standardization of submitted content
Size and format rules prevent broken or disproportionate images in the profile.
Who Is User Photos Recommended For?
- Those who run a photographer community and want to give each member a space to showcase their work.
- Aimed at dating or networking sites where visual presentation matters as much as the profile text.
- Portfolio platforms, interest clubs, and niche social networks that need an individual gallery per user.
How to Download User Photos
User Photos is available for download here at Ultrapack. After downloading the .zip file, go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, select the file, and activate. With Ultimate Member already installed, the new photo field appears in the form builder and in the profile options of the base plugin.
For community projects already running on Ultimate Member, this component fills a common gap in the default registration: the lack of space for multiple images per member. By moving this function into the profile flow itself, it avoids having to stitch together an external gallery plugin, keeping upload, display, and visual moderation under the same member panel.

How to install
Automatic updates: this item is updated by the Ultrapack Auto Updater. With it installed, the new version shows up in your dashboard like any other WordPress update (how to set it up).
This item is an add-on for the Ultimate Member plugin. Installed on its own it throws no error, but it does not work either.
- Install and activate the Ultimate Member plugin before this one.
- Download the file
um-user-photos.zip. - In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Select the file
um-user-photos.zip, click Install Now and then Activate.
Requirements: Requires WordPress 6.2 or higher and PHP 5.6 or higher. Tested up to WordPress 6.7.
- Both stay active at the same time. Deactivating the Ultimate Member plugin turns this add-on off with it.
- An add-on settings usually show up inside the main plugin screens, not in a menu of their own. If you find nothing new in the dashboard after activating, look there before opening a ticket.
