Description
The Split Orders automatically divides a single WooCommerce order into multiple separate orders, grouping items according to configurable rules such as product category, supplier, shipping method, or digital versus physical products. It is designed for sellers who offer goods from different sources in the same cart and need each set of items to follow its own processing, fulfillment, and invoicing flow without manual intervention in the admin panel.
Key Features of Split Orders
- Automatic order splitting
Breaks a received order into multiple individual sub-orders within WooCommerce. - Rules by product category
Lets you group items from the same category into the same derived order. - Separation by item type
Separates physical, digital, or downloadable products into different orders. - Linked to the original order
Keeps a cross-reference between the parent order and the generated child orders. - Configuration in the admin panel
Adds a settings screen in WooCommerce to define split criteria.
Benefits of Split Orders
- Simplified logistics flow
Each derived order follows its own fulfillment route without confusing inventory. - Separate invoicing by source
Makes it easier to issue distinct invoices when items come from different suppliers. - Less manual work in the admin
Eliminates the task of manually separating orders with mixed items in the panel. - Better tracking for the customer
Enables independent tracking of each part of the purchase.
Who Is Split Orders Intended For?
- Anyone selling physical and digital products together in the same WooCommerce cart.
- Stores that operate with multiple suppliers and need to separate orders by source.
- Anyone who needs to process item groups in independent logistics flows after checkout.
How to Download Split Orders
The Split Orders is available for download here on Ultrapack. After downloading the .zip file, install it in Plugins > Add New > Upload plugin, select the file, and activate it. The order-splitting rules start appearing in the WooCommerce settings area, ready to be adjusted according to the store’s product categories and types.
For operations that mix items of different natures in the same cart, Split Orders solves the complexity of processing everything as a single order by automating the separation at the time of purchase completion. The link between the original order and the derived orders preserves the customer’s full history and keeps the store’s accounting consistent, with no duplication or loss of traceability.

- Use cases
- With split orders you can respond flexibly to different situations with orders, including
- When you have an order which is only partially ready to be shipped, or contains products on backorder. With the Split Orders plugin you don’t have to keep the customer waiting — split the delayed items to a new order so that you can ship the products you have available.
- When you use different couriers for different parts of an order and want to attach tracking information for each shipment. Split the order to match shipments and attach tracking information to each order using Shipment tracking .
- When the customer asks you to ship part of an order to a different address. Split those items to a new order, update the shipping address, and process each order separately.
- All it takes is a click of the Split order action button to start a split.
- Having the power to split orders will help you keep on top of order management and shipments. Customers will appreciate receiving prompt delivery for the part of an order that’s ready to ship, or for being able to flexibly accommodate their shipping requirements.

- I've tried numerous free and paid plugins for splitting orders, and this is the only one that actually works exactly as it is supposed to! The UI is user friendly, the stock is updated correctly, there is even a customizeable email template. From the order overview table and in the order detail page you can clearly see where the order is split from. The data about local pickup is also copied to the split order, which is good.
- The only thing I would like to see added is Dutch translations of the UI buttons, but this is a minor thing. I'm glad to have finally found an order split plugin that does not contain any bugs!

- I love the plug-in. It's simple and does what its promise. :)
- I really would love to see an overview of the splitted orders. And also the possibility to change something with the splitting would be great. Specially in the beginning i happend that the wrong quantity was split out. Then we had to split again, and then we have 3 instead of 2 orders.

- This is the first plugin that I bought, installed and just used with no issues. It is the perfect implementation of splitting orders and is exactly what you're looking for if you have some Amazon MCF items on an order with others that are fulfilled locally. The only weird thing is when it syncs the orders with QBO, there is some funkiness there. Might be related to setting on my WooCommerce sync.

- The plugin works well and the support is very helpful and fast.
- The only thing I miss is integration with payment gateways like Klarna and Vipps.

- This plugin does EXACTLY what I need it to do - I can select which products to split into a separate order and ba-da-bing it is done!
- They also provide above and beyond support. The plugin stopped worked for me, and after reaching out to them, they discovered it was in fact another plugin I am using that is causing the problem. Not only did they send me a code snippet that works around the issue, they reached out to the author of the offending plugin notifying them of the issue and provided code to fix it.
- From start to finish they NEVER once dropped the issue, even though they rightly COULD do so - as the problem really was not in their code. I am forever grateful that they helped me sort this out.
- I HIGHLY recommend this plugin for anyone who needs to split orders - and the price is WELL WORTH IT!
