Who Is the Media Uploader For?
- Those who run tutorial blogs and want to receive screenshots in readers’ questions.
- Community sites and forums built on wpDiscuz that need to make room for media replies.
- News and review portals where readers submit photos, audio, or PDFs to enrich the discussion.
- Those who need to enable uploads by a specific user role, controlling what visitors and members can attach.
How to Download the Media Uploader
The Media Uploader is available for download here on Ultrapack. After downloading the .zip file, install it in Plugins > Add New > Upload plugin, select the .zip, and activate it. Upload controls, limits per file type, and role-based permissions will appear in wpDiscuz settings after activation.
For communities already structured in wpDiscuz, the component bridges the gap between plain text comments and a multimedia conversation, without replacing the theme’s native comment system. The combination of AJAX validation, user role control, and display via lightbox and HTML5 player keeps the comments page organized even with a large volume of attachments uploaded by visitors.
