Description
The myCRED Integration addon connects the myCRED points system to wpDiscuz comment events, distributing credits when someone posts a comment, receives positive votes, has their response accepted, or is mentioned in responses within the thread. It is aimed at those who maintain discussion communities on WordPress and want to turn reader participation into virtual gamified currency, with configurable rules by event type and point type.
Key Features of myCRED Integration
- Points for comment posting
Credits the author whenever a new comment is approved in the wpDiscuz thread. - Reward for received votes
Distributes points to those who receive upvotes or likes on their own comments. - Independent rules per event
Each wpDiscuz trigger has a separately configured point value in the panel. - Daily limits per trigger
Controls the maximum number of points earned per day for each recorded action. - Support for multiple point types
Allows choosing which myCRED currency is used to reward each comment event.
Benefits of myCRED Integration
- More participation in the thread
Tangible rewards transform passive readers into recurring commenters. - Community retention
Accumulated balance creates a clear reason for the reader to return to the discussion. - Balanced economy
Event limits prevent point inflation and preserve the exchange value. - Unified loyalty
Reuses the same balance already used in other areas of the site (store, downloads, profiles).
Who is myCRED Integration Suitable For?
- Those who maintain a blog or news portal with an active comment section in wpDiscuz.
- Those who already run a points economy with myCRED in other areas and want to extend it to the discussion layer.
- Those who create niche communities (hobby, education, technical support) and seek a gamification mechanic applied to conversations.
How to Download myCRED Integration
The myCRED Integration is available for download here on Ultrapack. After downloading the .zip file, install it in Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, select the file, and activate. Point options per event become available in the wpDiscuz settings after activation, with myCRED already installed and configured previously.
For sites that already use wpDiscuz as a comment engine and myCRED as a loyalty layer, the myCRED Integration closes the circuit between the two layers without manual code, aligning virtual incentives with the volume and quality of reader contributions. The result is a gamification mechanic applied exactly where the conversation takes place, sustaining recurring returns and deeper participation in discussion threads.
