The Ultrapack Auto Updater is a plugin you install on your site. Once it’s in place, catalog items show up right in WordPress’s own updates screen, just like any plugin from the official repository: no ZIP downloads, no FTP, no deleting folders.
It’s the difference between updating fifteen items in fifteen trips to the site and updating fifteen items in one click.
What it does
- Updates plugins and themes from the catalog straight through the WordPress dashboard.
- Snapshots: before each update, it saves a copy of the item. If the new version breaks something, you can restore the last working state right from the plugin.
- Manager: lets you install previous versions of items, no need to go hunting for the old ZIP.
- Logs: records every update attempt, what worked and what failed. This is what turns “it didn’t update” into a support ticket that gets solved on the first reply.
- Automatic or manual: you can let items update on their own or just get the notice and decide on the spot.
It installs a required Must Use plugin alongside it, the WP Recovery Agent. This has been automatic since version 1.0.0, and it’s what lets you recover the site if an update fails midway.
Requirements
WordPress 6.0.3 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher. Below that, it won’t run, and these two versions are already the recommended minimum for any production site today.
Not every item is compatible
Compatible items carry the UAU Ready badge on their page. Anything outside that range keeps being updated by hand, as usual.
How to install
Download the plugin at Ultrapack Auto Updater, install it like any plugin, activate it, and paste in your token. Where the token comes from and what to do when it stops working is covered in Auto Updater token.
A heads-up that saves you a headache
Don’t use two third-party update plugins on the same site. They compete for the same moment in WordPress, and the result is an update that doesn’t run, runs twice, or fails midway. Pick one.
