Description
The Calculator addon adds to AutomatorWP the action “Calculate formula”, which performs mathematical operations on dynamic tags of automations and makes the result available for use in subsequent stages of the flow. It accepts the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and functions such as abs, sin and cos, exposing the calculation via the tag {calculate( FORMULA )}, which can be injected into fields of other actions — discounts in WooCommerce, points in GamiPress or field updates via Fluentform.
Key Features
- Action “Calculate formula” (Pro): receives a formula composed with dynamic tags and returns the result ready for reuse in the automation.
- Arithmetic operations: performs addition, subtraction, multiplication and division within the automation step itself.
- Mathematical functions: supports functions such as abs, sin and cos for expressions beyond basic calculations.
- Dynamic calculation tag: the tag
{calculate( FORMULA )}allows inline formula execution and using the calculated value in any subsequent action field. - Chaining with other addons: the result can feed actions of WooCommerce, LearnDash, GamiPress, Fluentform and other integrations already configured in AutomatorWP.
Benefits of Calculator
- Math logic without code: eliminates the need for PHP snippets to generate calculated values in automated flows.
- Dynamic discounts and bonuses: calculates percentages from order total or course scores to grant discounts, points or credits.
- Reuse of result: the obtained value is available as a tag for all subsequent actions, avoiding duplicate configuration.
- Rich automations: allows AutomatorWP to react to value ranges, totals and sums, instead of just raw events.
For Whom It Is Recommended?
- Retailers using AutomatorWP with WooCommerce who want to apply calculated discounts based on the order total.
- Course and gamification sites with LearnDash and GamiPress that need to grant points based on scores or progress.
- Teams collecting data via Fluentform who want to compute values before saving to user fields or other integrations.
Recommended for those who already automate flows with AutomatorWP and need mathematical calculations in the middle of automations, turning order, form, and course data into ready-to-use values for other actions.

How to install
Automatic updates: this item is updated by the Ultrapack Auto Updater. With it installed, the new version shows up in your dashboard like any other WordPress update (how to set it up).
This item is an add-on for the AutomatorWP plugin. Installed on its own it throws no error, but it does not work either.
- Install and activate the AutomatorWP plugin before this one.
- Download the file
automatorwp-calculator.zip. - In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Select the file
automatorwp-calculator.zip, click Install Now and then Activate.
- Both stay active at the same time. Deactivating the AutomatorWP plugin turns this add-on off with it.
- An add-on settings usually show up inside the main plugin screens, not in a menu of their own. If you find nothing new in the dashboard after activating, look there before opening a ticket.
