Description
The Google Calendar addon connects AutomatorWP to your Google Calendar account via OAuth, adding triggers that run automations when events are created, updated, or started, as well as actions that create, edit, delete, and invite attendees to events directly from your calendar. With this component, site workflows begin to reflect real commitments — registrations, classes, meetings, and deadlines become automatic events without manual calendar entry.
Key Features
- Google OAuth connection: authenticates the Google account and keeps the token active to read and write events in the selected calendar.
- Event-based triggers: runs AutomatorWP automations when an event is created, modified, started, or removed in the monitored calendar.
- Event management actions: lets you create, edit, and delete events by defining the title, description, time, location, and destination calendar within the recipe.
- Attendee invitations: adds guests to an existing event by passing dynamic emails from AutomatorWP tags.
- Dynamic tags: uses user, post, or other integration data as variables in event fields, building personalized schedules in real time.
Google Calendar Benefits
- Automatic scheduling: eliminates the task of manually copying registrations, purchases, or sign-ups from the site to Google Calendar.
- Two-way synchronization: the site responds to changes made in the calendar, and the calendar receives events generated on the site.
- Native reminders and notifications: leverages Google’s own alert system to notify students, customers, and staff without extra code.
- Integration with other recipes: combines the calendar with WooCommerce, LearnDash, forms, and other AutomatorWP addons in a single automation.
Who Is It For?
- Online schools, coaches, and teachers who need to turn registrations into scheduled classes.
- Service providers and consultants who manage meetings and appointments directly through Google Calendar.
- Teams that use AutomatorWP to orchestrate workflows between the site, sales, and internal operations.
Recommended for those who operate WordPress as a scheduling hub and want to keep Google Calendar always aligned with what happens on the site, without rework.
