Description
The Google Sheets add-on connects AutomatorWP to Google Drive spreadsheets, allowing you to create rows, update cells, and read data from a sheet whenever a trigger is fired inside WordPress. It works as a bridge between AutomatorWP automations and your Google Sheets files, turning each spreadsheet into a source or destination for information coming from signups, purchases, forms, and other actions monitored on your site.
Key Features
- Spreadsheet actions: sends data from WordPress to rows and cells in a Google Sheets spreadsheet linked to the authorized account.
- Spreadsheet-based triggers: fires AutomatorWP automations when rows are created or updated in a specific sheet.
- Google authentication: direct connection to the user’s Google account through API credentials for secure access to spreadsheets.
- Column mapping: selection of spreadsheet, tab, and target columns in the setup of each action or trigger.
- Dynamic tags: uses data from the sheet as variables inside AutomatorWP automations, feeding subsequent actions.
Benefits of Google Sheets
- Data centralization: consolidates signups, sales, and site events into a single spreadsheet for analysis and team sharing.
- No-code automation: connects WordPress and Google Sheets without needing to set up Zapier, Make, or other paid intermediaries.
- Collaborative work: lets teams access, in real time, information generated by automations directly from Drive.
- Bidirectional flows: both sends information to the spreadsheet and reacts to edits made in it, expanding the range of possible scenarios.
Who Is It For?
- Marketing and sales teams that use Google Sheets as an operational base for leads and customers.

- Small businesses and agencies that need to integrate site data into collaborative reports on Google Drive.
Ideal for those who already use AutomatorWP and want to turn Google Sheets spreadsheets into a data hub for their site automations, without relying on external connectors.

How to install
Automatic updates: this item is updated by the Ultrapack Auto Updater. With it installed, the new version shows up in your dashboard like any other WordPress update (how to set it up).
This item is an add-on for the AutomatorWP plugin. Installed on its own it throws no error, but it does not work either.
- Install and activate the AutomatorWP plugin before this one.
- Download the file
automatorwp-google-sheets.zip. - In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Select the file
automatorwp-google-sheets.zip, click Install Now and then Activate.
- Both stay active at the same time. Deactivating the AutomatorWP plugin turns this add-on off with it.
- An add-on settings usually show up inside the main plugin screens, not in a menu of their own. If you find nothing new in the dashboard after activating, look there before opening a ticket.
