Description
The HappyForms addon registers new triggers in AutomatorWP that fire when a logged-in user or a visitor submits a form created in HappyForms, capturing the values of the submitted fields for reuse in configured actions. Recommended for those who use HappyForms as a lead capture point, contact, or registration tool and want to chain each submission into AutomatorWP automatic flows — such as awarding points, granting content access, sending emails or recording activities — without writing code.
Key Features
- Trigger on submission by logged-in user: fires automations when an authenticated user submits a HappyForms form.
- Trigger on submission by visitor: activates flows for submissions from non-logged-in visitors (guests), enabling capture of anonymous leads.
- Trigger by field value (Pro): fires only when the user or visitor submits a specific value in a designated form field.
- Field value tags: provides the submitted data (name, email, message, options) as reusable variables in AutomatorWP actions.
- Full compatibility with HappyForms: works with any form created in the free form builder plugin, with no extra configuration needed on the HappyForms side.
Benefits of HappyForms
- No-code automation: connects each form submission to full AutomatorWP flows with just a few clicks in the dashboard.
- Leveraging anonymous leads: processes submissions from guest visitors, expanding capture beyond registered users.
- Response-based customization: uses values sent by the user to condition emails, assignments, records, and registrations in subsequent actions.
- Connecting with the AutomatorWP ecosystem: allows chaining form submissions with any available action in other installed addons.
Who is it for?
- WordPress sites that use HappyForms as a capture, contact, or registration tool.
- Professionals and agencies that build automations in AutomatorWP and need to link forms to these flows.
- Marketing and operations teams that want to turn submissions into concrete actions — scoring, registration, notification, or content release.
For those working with HappyForms and AutomatorWP on the same site, this extension bridges the forms and the automation engine, allowing each submission to become the starting point of a flow in WordPress.

How to install
Automatic updates: this item is updated by the Ultrapack Auto Updater. With it installed, the new version shows up in your dashboard like any other WordPress update (how to set it up).
This item is an add-on for the AutomatorWP plugin. Installed on its own it throws no error, but it does not work either.
- Install and activate the AutomatorWP plugin before this one.
- Download the file
automatorwp-happyforms.zip. - In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Select the file
automatorwp-happyforms.zip, click Install Now and then Activate.
- Both stay active at the same time. Deactivating the AutomatorWP plugin turns this add-on off with it.
- An add-on settings usually show up inside the main plugin screens, not in a menu of their own. If you find nothing new in the dashboard after activating, look there before opening a ticket.
