Description
The Vimeo addon connects the Vimeo player to AutomatorWP, registering two new triggers that fire automations whenever a logged-in user or an anonymous visitor watches a specific video hosted on the platform. Useful for online course creators, membership platforms, and marketing teams that want to reward engagement with video content, releasing lessons, tags, or rewards based on actual material consumption.
Main Features
- Logged-in user watching video trigger (Pro): fires the automation when an authenticated member completes watching a Vimeo video specified by the administrator.
- Anonymous visitor watching video trigger (Pro): triggers the flow even for non-logged-in visitors who watch the video, expanding the reach of automations.
- Detection by the official Vimeo player: monitoring happens in the embedded player itself, without relying on manual clicks or extra markings on the page.
- Chaining with any AutomatorWP action: combine the viewing trigger with plugin actions like courses, memberships, or CRMs already supported by the base plugin.
- Focus on video-driven automations: the addon is dedicated to viewing triggers, keeping the resource registration simple and straightforward in the automation editor.
Vimeo Benefits
- Measurable engagement: rewards and progress depend on actual video viewing, not just page access.
- Automatic content release: lessons, tags, or levels advance automatically when the student finishes the specified video.
- Also captures anonymous audience: unregistered visitors enter marketing flows after watching a video without requiring prior login.
- Reuse of the ecosystem: triggers combine with other AutomatorWP addons, integrating Vimeo into existing routines.
Who Is It For?
- Online course creators and LMS platforms delivering lessons via Vimeo.
- Membership sites, paid communities, and content clubs that unlock access based on progress.
- Content marketing professionals who trigger actions based on the actual consumption of institutional videos.
Recommended for administrators already operating AutomatorWP who want to turn Vimeo views into reliable triggers within courses, member areas, and content campaigns.
