Description
The Events Map add-on displays EventON events on an interactive map based on Google Maps, with custom markers, automatic clusters to group nearby events, and detailed information windows at each location. This EventON component is designed for multi-location festivals, conferences with distributed rooms, and urban events, allowing visitors to filter by category and date while the map automatically centers on the selected events.
Key Features
- Custom markers
Reuses the same marker icons already configured in EventON to identify each location on the map. - Automatic clusters
Groups nearby markers into a single numbered cluster, preventing overlap when there are many events. - Information windows
Opens info windows when clicking each marker, showing event data directly on the map. - Synced side list
Displays the event list next to the interactive map, with items connected to their respective markers. - Category and date filters
Updates the markers as the visitor applies EventON native filters, including Auto Pan to center the view.
Events Map Benefits
- Spatial view of events
Replaces the linear reading of the schedule with a clear geographic view of participating venues. - Support for multi-location schedules
Serves festivals and expos where each session takes place at a different address in the city. - More interactive navigation
Encourages visitors to explore the schedule by clicking on the map instead of scrolling through long lists. - Integration with the EventON ecosystem
Works alongside Event Slider, Filters Plus, Event Lists Extended, and other family components.
Who Is It For?
- Festival and event organizers with multiple stages or venues.
- Conference, expo, and trade show promoters with distributed rooms.
- Event tourism sites, cultural itineraries, and urban agendas.
- Venues, churches, and networks with locations in multiple cities.
- Agencies and developers delivering event portals on EventON.
By attaching a geographic layer to the calendar, this additional module turns EventON’s schedule into an exploratory experience, where markers, clusters, and filters interact with the side list in real time. It’s the natural choice for anyone who needs to communicate location as the central information, combining the base plugin’s agenda with the familiar visual feel of Google Maps on a single screen.
