Description
The Flatsome add-on adds AJAX compatibility between FacetWP and the Flatsome theme, ensuring that the result counters, the image lightbox, the lazy-load, and the Masonry layout continue to work correctly after each dynamic facet update. The extension also enables inserting facet shortcodes into text widgets in the Shop Sidebar area, integrating WooCommerce product filters into the native Flatsome layout without manual adjustments to the template.
Key Features
- FacetWP AJAX Compatibility
Restores result counting and facet behavior after each dynamic page refresh. - Shop Sidebar Support
Allows using FacetWP shortcodes in text widgets in the Shop Sidebar area of the Flatsome theme. - Preserved Image Lightbox
Reactivates the Flatsome product lightbox after each AJAX update triggered by the filters. - Functional Lazy-load and Masonry
Keeps deferred image loading and the Masonry grid synchronized with the filtered listing. - Video Lightbox and Wishlist
Ensures that features like modal playback and the Flatsome wishlist continue to work after filtering.
Benefits of Flatsome integration
- Filters without breaking the layout
Eliminates visual conflicts between FacetWP and Flatsome’s own scripts on shop pages. - Simplified setup
Lets you build filters using the theme’s native sidebar, without editing WooCommerce template files. - Preserved shopping experience
Keeps lightbox, wishlist, and galleries working even after the customer applies successive filters. - Pairing with WooCommerce
Enables filtering by product attributes, taxonomies, and custom product fields directly in Flatsome.
Who Is It For?
- WooCommerce store owners who use the Flatsome theme and need to add advanced product filters.
- Developers who maintain e-commerces with FacetWP and Flatsome and want to avoid script conflicts.
- Agencies that set up online stores with customized facets in Flatsome sidebars.
Designed for WooCommerce stores that combine the Flatsome theme with FacetWP facet filtering, this add-on solves the most sensitive point in this stack: synchronization between the theme’s JavaScript and the filtering plugin’s AJAX requests. The result is a catalog page where lightbox, lazy-load, Masonry, and wishlist continue to respond correctly after each refinement applied by the visitor.

How to install
Automatic updates: this item is updated by the Ultrapack Auto Updater. With it installed, the new version shows up in your dashboard like any other WordPress update (how to set it up).
This item is an add-on for the FacetWP plugin. Installed on its own it throws no error, but it does not work either.
- Install and activate the FacetWP plugin before this one.
- Download the file
facetwp-flatsome.zip. - In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Select the file
facetwp-flatsome.zip, click Install Now and then Activate.
- Both stay active at the same time. Deactivating the FacetWP plugin turns this add-on off with it.
- An add-on settings usually show up inside the main plugin screens, not in a menu of their own. If you find nothing new in the dashboard after activating, look there before opening a ticket.
