Description
The Pods addon connects custom fields and content types from the Pods Framework to FacetWP’s facet builder, exposing relationships, taxonomies, and meta fields as usable data sources in filters. Teams structuring catalogs, directories, and knowledge bases in Pods can offer faceted search on this data without manually mapping fields or writing custom queries in functions.php.

Who Is It For?
- Developers using the Pods Framework to structure custom content on WordPress sites.
- Teams creating directories, catalogs, or editorial portals with custom content types and relationships.
- Sites with high volume of records organized in Pods CPTs that need performant faceted search.
Combining Pods and FacetWP forms the technical foundation for rich custom content portals: Pods defines the data structure, FacetWP builds the discovery layer, and this addon removes the intermediate step of manually connecting the two. Recommended for sites with dense catalogs, professional directories, and editorial portals that rely on custom fields to organize large volumes of information.
