Description
The Range List add-on adds to FacetWP a facet type that groups numeric values into predefined ranges, allowing visitors to filter results by clicking ranges like “0 to 100”, “100 to 500”, or “over 1000” instead of manipulating sliders or typing values. Ideal for e-commerce catalogs, real estate directories, and listings where price, area, or distance need to be segmented into fixed buckets with a count next to each range.
Key Features
- Configurable numeric ranges
Sets custom minimum and maximum intervals in the facet configuration screen. - Count per range
Displays the number of results corresponding to that bucket next to each range. - Integration with data sources
Uses numeric fields from WordPress as meta values, custom fields, and taxonomies with quantitative values. - Support for currency and units
Lets you format range labels with prefixes and suffixes for price, square footage, or weight. - Compatibility with the facet engine
Works alongside other FacetWP facets in the same listing template.
Benefits of Range List
- More intuitive filtering
Replaces sliders with clear clickable options, reducing visitor uncertainty when choosing a range. - Faster decision-making
Predefined ranges help users find products within budget without cognitive effort. - More organized catalogs
Groups results into consistent segments, avoiding long, scattered lists by value. - Higher conversion rate
Well-defined buckets qualify the search and bring visitors closer to the purchase click.
Who Is It For?
- WooCommerce stores that need to segment products by price ranges.
- Real estate portals with filters for built area, value, or number of bedrooms.
- Directories and marketplaces that list items with numeric attributes relevant to search.
Designed for those who already use FacetWP and want to refine how visitors filter catalogs with quantitative data, this add-on provides a streamlined alternative to traditional sliders. Delivering clickable ranges speeds up navigation in stores, real estate portals, and directories, while maintaining the clean look of the listing template and preserving the facet engine’s performance in queries with large volumes of records.

How to install
Automatic updates: this item is updated by the Ultrapack Auto Updater. With it installed, the new version shows up in your dashboard like any other WordPress update (how to set it up).
This item is an add-on for the FacetWP plugin. Installed on its own it throws no error, but it does not work either.
- Install and activate the FacetWP plugin before this one.
- Download the file
facetwp-range-list.zip. - In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Select the file
facetwp-range-list.zip, click Install Now and then Activate.
- Both stay active at the same time. Deactivating the FacetWP plugin turns this add-on off with it.
- An add-on settings usually show up inside the main plugin screens, not in a menu of their own. If you find nothing new in the dashboard after activating, look there before opening a ticket.
