Description
The Report and Flagging addon adds report and flag buttons to each wpDiscuz comment, allowing visitors to mark offensive, spam, or off-topic messages with reasons pre-configured by the admin. Designed for those who run blogs with high comment volume and need to delegate initial screening to the community itself, reducing manual moderation load and speeding up the removal of abusive content from the discussion section.
Main Features of Report and Flagging
- Report buttons per comment
Adds report and flag icons to each item in the discussion thread. - Configurable report reasons
The admin sets the list of reasons shown to users when reporting. - Report limit per user

The audience itself helps point out problematic content without relying solely on the admin. - Faster response to abuse

Reports arrive prioritized, avoiding linear scanning of the comment queue. - Healthier discussion environment
Making reports visible discourages trolls and off-topic messages.
Who is Report and Flagging For?
- Those operating journalistic blogs with active comment sections exposed to heated discussions.
- Those managing online communities around controversial niches like politics, sports, or religion.
- Those already using wpDiscuz who want to outsource part of screening to the reading audience itself.
How to Download Report and Flagging
Report and Flagging is available for download here at Ultrapack. After downloading the .zip file, install it under Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, select the file, and activate. Controls will appear inside wpDiscuz settings, in the moderation-dedicated section.
For sites with high discussion volume, outsourcing part of the monitoring to the audience reduces the window in which abusive comments remain visible live. The component works on the wpDiscuz comment engine and respects the existing permission hierarchy, maintaining the usual approval flow in the admin panel without requiring external antispam services or paid AI tools.
