Description
WhatsApp connects AutomatorWP to the WhatsApp Business API, adding the “Message received” trigger and the actions “Send message to phone number” and “Send template to phone number” to automation workflows. With this, you trigger scheduling confirmations, gamification alerts, order notifications and automatic responses directly in the customer’s messaging channel, without relying on manual webhooks or intermediary platforms like Zapier.
Main Features
- Trigger “Message received”: starts automations in WordPress whenever the connected number receives a message from a contact.
- Action “Send message to number”: sends text directly to any phone as a step in an AutomatorWP automation.
- Action “Send template to number”: sends approved templates via the WhatsApp Business API, enabling communication beyond the 24-hour window.
- Combination with other addons: chains WhatsApp with GamiPress, Amelia, Google Sheets triggers and the rest of the AutomatorWP ecosystem.
- Setup in visual builder: builds workflows within the automation editor, without needing to write code or consume endpoints manually.
WhatsApp Benefits
- Immediate reach on the most open channel: takes advantage of WhatsApp’s high read rates for alerts, confirmations and reminders that email and SMS rarely reach.
- Automatic transaction confirmation: notifies the customer of confirmed scheduling, received payment or unlocked rank seconds after the event on the website.
- Automated bidirectional support: uses received messages as a trigger to capture leads, update spreadsheets or log tickets without a human operator.
- Communication centralization: brings together notifications from the website, store and CRM on the same WhatsApp Business number.
Recommended for Whom?
- WooCommerce stores that want to confirm orders, notify shipping status and recover carts via WhatsApp.
- Scheduling professionals — clinics, salons, studios and clinics — that operate with Amelia or similar booking plugins.
- Course and community sites with GamiPress that reward students and members and want to celebrate achievements via the direct channel.
Recommended for businesses that already serve customers via WhatsApp and want to tie the channel to site events, sales funnel events and loyalty program within AutomatorWP.
